Market Background
Large-scale infrastructure construction in China — affordable housing, highways, railways and hydraulic dams — has driven a sharp rise in demand for sand and aggregate. Hydraulic engineering in particular imposes increasingly strict requirements, and natural sand and gravel capable of meeting them is growing scarce. Manufactured sand and aggregate has therefore become the practical choice for construction use.

About the Sand and Aggregate Production Line
The complete production line is supplied with full technical support. It is built from a vibrating feeder, jaw crusher, impact crusher, vibrating screen and belt conveyors, which together form a complete stone production line.
Applications
The line handles aggregate production and manufactured sand from hard limestone, granite, basalt, river pebbles and many other materials, serving the hydropower, building materials, highway and urban construction industries. Equipment models are combined according to the process requirement so that each customer’s specification can be met.
Process Flow
Large stone is fed evenly from the hopper by the vibrating feeder into the jaw crusher for primary crushing. The crushed stone is carried by belt conveyor to the impact crusher for further reduction. After secondary crushing, the material is conveyed to the vibrating screen and separated into several size fractions; stone meeting the required particle size goes to the finished product stockpile via the product belt conveyor, while oversize material returns to the impact crusher for re-crushing in a closed circuit. Finished product sizes can be combined and graded to the customer’s requirement, and auxiliary dust removal equipment can be fitted for environmental protection.
Advantages
- Cubical product shape with excellent quality.
- Suitable for processing granite, basalt, gravel, bauxite, cement clinker, quartz, silicon carbide, sand and iron ore.
- Every production line is tailored by our engineers to the individual customer.
- Silt and powder content can be controlled.
Project Case — Lianghekou Sand and Aggregate Production Line
The Wazhigou aggregate system produces the concrete aggregate required for the main works of the Lianghekou hydropower station — 9.8505 million tonnes in total, including 3.0558 million tonnes of manufactured sand — with a designed processing capacity of 1,400 t/h. In line with the main construction programme, the system was completed and commissioned at the end of January 2017, ran a trial production period from 31 December 2016 to 30 January 2017, and began formally supplying qualified concrete aggregate to the main works on 31 January 2017. The aggregate feedstock comes principally from stone quarried at the Wazhigou quarry.
