1. Product Overview
The Reciprocating Feeder is a highly reliable, high-torque material handling solution engineered for the primary extraction and regulated feeding of heavy, large-grained, or highly abrasive bulk materials. Widely utilized in mining, coal preparation plants, quarries, and cement facilities, this equipment is installed directly beneath storage bins or dump hoppers to provide a steady, uniform supply to downstream crushers, screens, or belt conveyors. Its simple yet exceptionally robust mechanical architecture ensures maximum runtime and dependable performance in the harshest industrial operating environments.
2. Detailed Description
This machine operates using an industrial electric motor connected to a heavy-duty speed reducer, which powers a precision crank-and-connecting-rod mechanism. This drivetrain translates rotational energy into a smooth, linear horizontal reciprocating motion of the feeder’s bottom tray. As the tray slides forward, it pulls material out from the hopper throat; during the backward stroke, the material slips past the retreating tray and cascades down into the discharge chute via gravity. The entire feeding trough is lined with thick, replaceable high-manganese steel or alloy wear plates to resist intense friction and impact. Plant operators can quickly re-calibrate the total capacity on-the-fly by adjusting the eccentric crank radius to extend or shorten the stroke displacement.
3. Why Choose Us
-
Unmatched Operational Simplicity: The rugged mechanical crank system features minimal complex electronic or high-wear components, lowering breakdown rates compared to advanced electronic feeders.
-
Flexible Flow Calibration: Dual-adjustment flexibility—via mechanical crank modifications or integrated variable frequency drives (VFD)—allows for quick adaptation to fluctuating production capacities.
-
Industrial-Grade Wear Life: Premium composite heat-treated alloy liners insulate the structural housing from direct contact with abrasive ores, extending the core system’s lifecycle.
