1. Product Overview
Disc feeder is a continuous quantitative feeding equipment widely used in mining and building material production lines. It feeds materials by centrifugal rotation of the disc with uniform discharge and easy flow adjustment. Usually installed under silos and hoppers, it feeds crushers and conveyors evenly to ensure stable operation of the whole production line.
2. Detailed Description
This equipment utilizes a horizontally revolving disc powered by a vertically configured, heavy-duty gear drive assembly. Material drops from the upper hopper onto the center of the rotating disc, forming a natural material stack. As the disc revolves, an adjustable scraper blade shears the material off the edge of the disc at a controlled rate, routing it directly to the next process. The entirely enclosed drive mechanism features premium oil-bath lubrication to protect internal gears from abrasive dust and fine contaminants. Additionally, operators can easily recalibrate the feed rate on-the-fly by either adjusting the height of the discharge gate, varying the scraper blade angle, or integrating a variable frequency drive to alter rotation speeds.
