Process Overview
The waste lithium battery recycling process consists of discharging, shredding, crushing, magnetic separation, drying, screening and a dual-path gas purification system. After discharging, batteries are fed by an intelligent stepped feeder into a twin-shaft shredder, where two counter-rotating shafts compress and tear the material before it passes to a ring hammer crusher. The crushed material is conveyed under negative pressure to a belt conveyor and through a magnetic separator for iron removal, then dried in a G3 drying screen before entering the mill for grinding. A sorting system then performs the final separation, yielding black mass, copper and aluminium powder, iron and separator paper. Black mass purity reaches 99%, copper and aluminium purity is 96% or above, and separator paper recovery is 98% or above. The entire process operates under negative pressure, which effectively prevents dust and exhaust gas from escaping, and organic exhaust gas is treated by the dual-path purification system to meet discharge standards.

Process Features
- The recovery process is safe and reliable, with low investment cost, a clean and compact appearance, a small footprint and low equipment maintenance costs.
- Solid-state discharging combined with intelligent cube discharging shortens discharge time to two or three hours.
- Separation is effective and recovery rates are high: black mass purity reaches 99%, copper and aluminium purity is 95% or above, and separator paper recovery is 98% or above.
- A dual exhaust gas treatment system makes the line environmentally friendly with zero pollutant discharge. Noise, dust and organic exhaust gas are all well controlled, essentially meeting a zero-emission standard.
- An industry-first drying method keeps operating costs and power consumption low.
- The process handles a wide range of material — batteries of any model can be sorted.
- A high-end intelligent control system allows unattended operation, substantially reducing labour costs.
- The new crushing system offers high throughput and can be customised to customer requirements.
- The process is highly extensible and flexible, meeting varying customer requirements.
